Response resources are stretched thin. The 20-hour training program is available in over 170 local
communities nationwide.

CERT is a positive and realistic approach to emergency and disaster situations where citizens
may initially be on their own and their actions can make a difference. While people will respond to
others in need without the training, one goal of the CERT program is to help them do so effectively
and efficiently without placing themselves in unnecessary danger. In the CERT training, citizens
learn to:

controlling bleeding, and treating for shock

CERT is a challenging program that takes place over three days. Each day is packed full of training
and information. Please see CERT Schedule for more information. The CERT class will begin
promptly at 8:30 am and last until 5:00pm. The program is conducted at the Dana Point City Hall
Council Chambers. You must attend all three days to become certified as CERT trained.
When is the next class?
Spring April 4th-6th, 2008
Please note that class sizes are limited. Please call Mike Rose at (949) 248-3535 or email
